ARE YOU SUFFERING WITH AN EATING DISORDER?

    DO YOU:

    • Restrict food?
    • Binge on food?
    • Purge (vomit) after eating?
    • Over exercise to burn calories?
    • Obsess over weight?
    • Obsess about food?

All of the above are signs of eating disorders. If you have an eating disorder, I know you are suffering with intense emotions and that your quality of life is being severely affected. I also know you never really enjoy food or eating and you feel awful about yourself. Food and eating are constant sources of stress and anxiety.

An eating disorder will cause you to obsess about weight, body shape and what you eat. It can negatively impact your whole life in so many ways.

EATING DISORDERS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Anorexia Nervosa – Characterized by extremely restrictive eating. Difficulty maintaining an appropriate body weight for height, age, and stature and a distorted body image.

Bulimia Nervosa – Characterized by a cycle of bingeing and then self-induced vomiting.

Binge Eating Disorder – Characterized by recurrent episodes of eating large quantities of food and a feeling of a loss of control during the binge.

Eating disorders affect people from all demographics and are not caused by any single factor. They arise from a combination of long-standing behavioral, biological, emotional, psychological, interpersonal, and social factors. Eating disorders develop differently for each person.

Eating disorders are about more than food. They’re a complex condition with a variety of symptoms. They require professional treatment; sometimes from a combination of specialized providers

I provide a unique customize approach to help you gain control and eat normally.  I work with both your conscious and unconscious mind.   It is not your conscious mind that is causing you to eat this way.

I work with you to equip you with the skills and strategies you need so that you can implement them into your everyday life to change your relationship with food and with yourself. I help you change the way you think and feel about food so that you do not obsess about food – ever.

    Here’s what people are saying:

“EFT helped me stop binge eating. When I would want to eat, it was like a compulsion, I had to do it. Now, anytime I feel like bingeing, I tap and can make that compulsion feeling go away. I can stop myself. The times I want to binge are decreasing. I feel hopeful for the first time in my life.”

“I really liked Linda’s approach in using hypnosis to help me make changes in the way I thought about eating and about myself. It made a difference for me. The cognitive behavioral therapy techniques made sense but I think it was the hypnosis that helped me actually make the changes.”
    ~Pattie M. October 2019

“I was bulimic off and on for the better part of a decade. I had worked with other therapists before but working with Dr. Ritchie was different. She knows what she is doing and understood what I was dealing with. She used CBT which I had done before but she also used hypnosis and other techniques that I had never had before. I got results. I got better. I was actually able to change the way I felt and behaved around food. ”

    GET THE RESULTS YOU WANT

Our sessions are going to be different from anything you’ve done before. I use an integrated approach to work with both your conscious and unconscious mind to release negative feelings and integrate new skills and strategies. I use cognitive behavioral techniques (CBT), combined with hypnotic techniques, neuro-linguistics programing techniques (NLP), and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) to help you take back control of your life.

You are a unique human being and while there are underlying similarities in what you experience and what someone else with an eating disorder experiences, there are also differences. I customize your sessions to your particular needs so you get exactly what you need to get the results you want.
