Stress Relief
THE GOOD AND THE BAD OF STRESS
Just being alive means that you experience stress. You need moderate levels of stress to stay alert, perform well, and be motivated. When you are in control stress can transform into positive energy. Out of control stress can damage your health and well-being.
ARE YOU STRESSED OUT?
Some signs that you’re stressed out include:
- Depression or anxiety.
- Anger, irritability, or restlessness.
- Feeling overwhelmed, unmotivated, or unfocused.
- Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much.
- Racing thoughts or constant worry.
- Problems with your memory or concentration.
- Making bad decisions.
Excessive stress is commonly called the fight-flight-freeze response.
Stress is a reaction to things happening in your life. It is your body’s reaction to a challenge or demand. Stress is part of the human condition. Our ancestors experienced stress when they came face to face with a saber-toothed tiger. Their bodies produced the same physiological reaction we might experience when we are stuck in traffic or late to work.
THE FOUR F’S – UNPRODUCTIVE REACTIONS TO STRESS
- Fretting: Worrying a problem to death.
- Fuming: Getting angry.
- Flailing: Spinning your wheels.
- Freaking out: Losing it completely.
I provide a unique customized approach to help you manage stress and feel better. You can regain control of your life and improve your health once you learn to control stress.
Using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, Hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programing (NLP) techniques, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), I will help you take charge of your stressors and stay in control for the rest of your life.
Not all stressors are within your control but some are. You can learn to take control over the parts of your life you can change and to think and react differently to the parts of your life you’re unable to change.
