COACHING
IS COACHING RIGHT FOR YOU?
IS YOUR LIFE HEADED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION?
COACHING VERSUS PSYCHOTHERAPY
There are some similarities between coaching and psychotherapy but I do not combine the two. Coaching is a separate role. While coaching contains elements of psychology it is different. Coaching is not therapy.
“Personal coaching involves helping generally well-functioning people create and achieve goals, maximize personal development, and navigate transitions on the path to realizing their ideal vision for the current and emerging chapters of their lives.”
~International Coaching Federation
Insurance companies require a medical diagnosis to pay for psychotherapy services. Many people who seek the services of a therapist do not have a diagnosable mental disorder. They simply have a challenge in life and want some help to resolve it.
