WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
Hypnosis is a state of inner absorption, concentration and focused attention. It is a natural and normal state. You probably enter into a state of hypnosis every day and didn’t know it! When your mind is focused and absorbed you are able to use it more powerfully. Hypnosis will allow you to use more of your minds’ potential to achieve the results you desire.
The complex human mind has two levels; the conscious level and the unconscious level. The conscious level is our objective mind and the unconscious level is the automatic level. Hypnosis works at the unconscious or automatic level. The unconscious level accepts suggestions more readily and acts upon them.
Using hypnosis you can gain control of your thoughts, feelings and actions and transform your life. Hypnosis can help you change your bad habits into good ones and transform your negative feelings into positive ones. It can help you access your inner resources to create peak performance.

HYPNOSIS ISN’T MAGIC BUT THE RESULTS CAN BE TRULY MAGICAL!
Using hypnotic techniques, we bypass the critical observation and interference of the conscious mind which allows change to happen fast. When you are in a hypnotic state your unconscious mind is more open to suggestions so you can easily make the positive changes you desire.
Hypnosis is a delivery method for therapy. People many times have the ability to accomplish something more quickly in hypnosis because in that trance state they are able to bypass the critical faculty of the mind (let down the guard) and the positive suggestions are more readily accepted.
Hypnosis is not something I impose on you but something you do for yourself. I simply serve as a facilitator. Think of it like I am a GPS and it is my job to get you where you want to go using the fastest route possible. I have the map!! You are still the driver, still in control. I can help you become a better driver.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Will I lose control in hypnosis?
No! Hypnosis is a collaborative process. You must consent to the process. You will be aware of what I am saying during the session and your responses. You cannot be made to do anything against your own morals. You will not tell secrets or reveal any information you do not knowingly wish to during hypnosis.
Will I be asleep?
No. You will actually be in a heightened state of awareness during hypnosis. You will be aware of your surroundings and will hear not only my voice but all the other sounds around you. You will remember as much of the hypnosis session as you do a regular conversation.
Can I drive after hypnosis?
Yes. You will leave the hypnosis session fully alert and feeling refreshed.
Is hypnosis dangerous?
No. Hypnosis is a natural ability of the mind that we all experience daily. It is completely safe when practiced by an experienced, professional hypnotherapist. There is no evidence at all of hypnosis doing harm to a person.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Hypnosis is not relaxation but…I often help you create a profoundly relaxed state to assist you in making the changes you desire. Many people are a bit surprised at how normal they feel during the experience. Your mind will be alert and your focus will be on your experience and the suggestions you are receiving.
What if it doesn’t work?
Success depends on two factors, your willingness for change and my skill as a therapist. A smoker who is coming for hypnosis only because her husband wants her to stop smoking is not prepared to accept the suggestions for positive change. However, a smoker who is sick and tired of being a slave to cigarettes and no longer wants the cigarettes to be part of her life, is primed for success. I custom design all sessions to help you reach your goals.
How many sessions does it take?
Rapid change is possible with hypnosis. Only one session is required to stop smoking. Most other issues are scheduled for a brief series of sessions in order to provide you with the most effective customized hypnotic process in the most efficient use of your time. Hypnosis is a process although most people begin to experience the benefits from the very first session. An effective series of sessions provides continued reinforcement, self-hypnosis training and complete customization for your individual and unique needs.

Our sessions are going to be different from anything you’ve done before. I use an integrated approach to work with both your conscious and unconscious mind to release negative feelings and integrate new skills and strategies. I use hypnotic techniques combined with cognitive behavioral techniques (CBT), neuro-linguistics programing techniques (NLP), and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) to help you take back control of your life.
Remember: Hypnosis is a delivery method and CBT, NLP, EFT as well as other therapeutic techniques can be delivered in hypnosis. Hypnosis by itself is simply a state of mind. It does nothing to effect change. It is what is done while in a state of hypnosis that makes the change.
